The latest results from Urban Outfitters gave the investors some reason to cheer as the retailer indicated boosted sales at Free People stores. The company also said lesser markdowns are expected this spring.
The company's President and Chief Executive Richard Hayne said, "The Urban brand saw regular price sales and margin improvement throughout the quarter and the end of the year."
According to the company executives, Urban Outfitters margins are expected to increase in the first quarter "slightly" compared to last year.
